Cuddle the Winter Away
January 5th, 2010

If you haven't already seen it, it's kind of the right time to go have a look around. It's cold. It's winter. Cuddle Me Sutra.

This was a true collaboration and big Lunch production, Myself, Tool/Radke Director - The one and only Jason Zada, Bijou Editorial, Alchemy, and Indusblue were all engaged to help our fantastic friends at Saatchi & Saatchi Canada bring the world of the Cuddle Me Sutra to life.

We shot this back in snowless and relatively balmy October.

Now that Winter is completely here, it seemed fitting to finally Cuddle the Winter Away

Indusblue launches CTVOlympics the official application for the 2010 Olympic Games
December 27th, 2009

Well, in just under a week the app is already ranked an exciting #5 in the iTunes store in the Sports category.

The guys have been busy and diligently working on this application launch.

I, of course, downloaded the app within minutes of it becoming available on the store. Although my opinion is obviously biased - the app is awesome. If you're into the Olympics, you'll love it.

Everything from news, to athletes, to medal counts and when each event is being televised.

Head to the app store and search: CTVOlympics

Or download it here

Congrats guys!

Indusblue launches CTV Olympic quiz.
November 18th, 2009

After all the Olympic experience Indusblue has had building the official Olympics sites for both Torino 2006 and Beijing 2008, they said they couldn’t possibly pass up the opportunity to work with the Olympics again. This time on the experiential side.

The Hockey Twin microsite Indusblue designed and developed for CTV Olympics is a quiz that attempts to pair up Men’s, Women’s and Sledge Team Canada hockey players with the Canadian hockey fan.

The questions asked of Team Canada were the same ones asked in the quiz, consumers are matched with Olympians on team Canada based on results.

The results are always different based on how you answer each of the questions.

"We wanted to create something very visual and fun around the concept of narrowing down the players from the starting line up to that one final twin. Our train of thought went something like this:
CRAZY PAPERVISION SITE WITH FLYING 3D CARDS!!And it worked. CTV Olympics has been a fantastic and very accommodating client that gave us the creative freedom to do what we thought would work well. We didn’t go overboard with the PaperVision as is quite easy to do, we wanted to keep it simple but cool, and keep the usability up. We implemented cinematic effects with fast cuts in between transitions, some interesting 3D card flips and made almost 40 little icons for each of the questions." says Dayton Pereira Indusblue's co-founder and Creative Director.

Apparently the chances of two players answering all of the questions in the EXACT same way is: 1 in 40,000.
Wish we calculated that BEFORE we built an entire system to avoid the situation. Oh well, now we know.
